Our members are bound together by a common set of network standards and values, promoting a collaborative and ethical environment. This Code of Cooperation outlines the guiding principles that empower our members and ensure a healthy, productive environment for all. Non-compliance or disregard of the following rules will result in disciplinary action:

• The destination agent is responsible for the protection of all freight collect charges.
• Granting of credit to a consignee is solely at the risk of the destination agent, unless agreed otherwise.
• Members are encouraged to initiate and maintain contacts with other members, promoting trustworthy business relationships and seeking new opportunities.
• All members must respect the nature of confidentiality involved in all client/ business relationships.
• All exchanges of information between companies and people must follow and respect all international privacy laws.
• If a member is deemed to have defaulted on a payment to a fellow member, the FCN management reserves the right to notify all members.
• If any FCN member exhibits or/ and behaves unethically, unprofessionally behaviour and /or because the non- compliance of any or all these terms of conduct results in any type of harm to any other FCN member, FCN management have the following rights:
  • dishonest conduct by any exclusive member will cause termination of membership.
  • to cancel membership at any time NO FEES will be refunded, in whole or in part.
  • to prosecute such member to any extend including and not limited to the option of criminal and civil prosecution in a court of law if such option is considered needed.
  • to make it of public knowledge no limited only to FCN members but to all general public using all the tools at hand to accomplish such task without a limit of time and frequency in which such action is inform to the public.

We understand the challenges of starting out. We partner with new companies that demonstrate the expertise, resources, and commitment we require of all members.

• Applications are restricted to companies whose prime business is that of freight forwarder.
• Minimum of 1 year of verified experience in the freight forwarding industry. This demonstrates familiarity with the industry's practices and regulations.
• The application must be completed, signed, stamped and dated by an authorized representative of the applying Company, ensuring all questions are accurately answered.
• FCN management may ask for audited financial statements/ references or other legit supportive documents for verification purpose.
• Upon approval by the FCN management, an invoice will be issued and payment must be made for the appropriate sum, within 14 date of the invoice, which is non-refundable.
• New applications cannot be accepted when that country has the full quota of FCN representatives. In this case, if you want to be on the waiting list, you will have to inform the FCN management separately. See Global Vacant List
• You must be willing to contribute business to FCN.
• You must be willing to join the Annual meet ups/ conferences regularly and to actively supporting the FCN.
• You must accept and agreed to follow rules, code of ethics, terms & conditions set by FCN management.
• The FCN requires that all FCN members’ communication will be in English.
• Applying for exclusive membership is ensuring that you are fully liable for all fees applicable.
• Exclusive membership of FCN is at the discretion of the FCN management.

It is understood that the below rules and regulations shall follow by all exclusive members has entered into co-operation.

SUPPORT

• Support each other's business.
• Members agree English will be the common language of communication between FCN members when communicating (spoken or written).
• Reply to all freight inquiries within 48 hours unless otherwise agreed.
• Leads should be followed up and reported to the originating party within five business days.
• Work closely together in a friendly atmosphere respecting each other’s culture, religion and political situation.

HONOUR

• Honour the rules and regulations set by the network.
• Honour the rules and regulations set by any other national or international shipping, forwarding or maritime association.

SETTLE

• For business between FCN members - settle all debts within thirty days of invoicing one another.
• Pay their membership fees and any other dues linked to FCN programs/ events or conferences in a timely manner and not later than 15 days after invoice date.
• As an exclusive member, fund for Payment Protection Scheme must be paid within 90 days, from the date of membership started.

PRESENCE

• Annual meet will be organized by FCN management to provide a great method for members to elevate their services.
• Do their utmost to attend the first Annual meet; do not miss without acceptable reason.

MEMBERS CAP

• Network membership is capped by FCN on country sizes. See Global Vacant List
• Big Countries: can have 18 members of Head Offices but we can register many branches.
• Medium Countries: can have 12 Head Offices and many branches.
• Small countries: can have 6 Head Offices and many branch offices.
• The smallest countries or island: we can have only 1 Head office and many branches can register.

FORCE MAJEURE

• Neither the Member nor FCN will be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations pursuant to these Rules if such delay is due to Force Majeure, where “force majeure” means a circumstance beyond the reasonable control of FCN’s Management and its members which results in the Member and/or FCN being unable to observe or perform an obligation on time under these Rules.
• Such circumstances shall include but shall not be limited to:
1. Acts of God, lightning strikes, earthquakes, floods, storms, explosions, fires and any natural disaster; and
2. Acts of war, acts of public enemies, terrorism, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, sabotage, revolution and Strikes.
• If a delay or failure of a Member to perform its obligations is caused or anticipated due to Force Majeure, the performance of that Party’s obligations will be suspended.
